A trust is an arrangement whereby assets such as a property or investment portfolio is transferred from an individual (the settlor) to another person (trustee) or corporate body (corporate trustee) to hold the property for the benefit of a specified list of class of persons (the beneficiaries). The trust provides asset protection and succession planning for future generations.
